Common Stroke, Ordinary Strumming or Regular Strumming are all colloquial names for the same pattern: a regular strumming pattern of consistent eighth notes. A slight swing feeling is usually applied, as well as a slight accent on beats 2 and 4. This is the baseline strumming pattern all other patterns are compared to in this work.
