The repeated use of I in melodic structures can be widely observed in Hawaiian Players. This melodic excerpt is from the piece „Haele“ by Ernest Kaai. Hand position and techniqe adapted from classical Guitar Lineage, as the piece lends itself to this very well, reminding us of compositions my M. Guilliani or M. Carulli. However, Hawaiian Techniques (that generally employ a flatter hand position) can be applied to great effect as well, possibly getting closer to the originally intended sound of the piece.
